Vice City Outdoors is our family’s leap of faith. After years of competitive bass fishing and building a career in Texas, we’re chasing a dream in South Florida. We built this brand for our kids, for our community, and for everyone who believes it’s not too late to chase something real. Fishing is the start; family, faith, and giving back are the heart.

BUILT THROUGH COMPETITION

Vice City Outdoors wasn’t created overnight. It was built through years of early mornings, long tournament days, countless miles traveled, and an unwavering passion for fishing.

Founder Austin Forrester has spent over 16 years on the water, including 14 years competing in bass fishing tournaments across Texas. His competitive journey began in high school bass fishing and eventually progressed to larger tournament circuits, where he spent five years competing against experienced anglers throughout the state.

From offshore structure fishing to flipping heavy cover and chasing topwater bites, those years have shaped the experience, determination, and competitive mindset behind VCO.

Competition taught us to never stop learning, never stop improving, and never lose sight of why we started.

Competition built the foundation. Passion built the dream.

Behind Vice City Outdoors is something more important than fishing: family.

Austin, his wife Macey, and their three children are at the heart of everything VCO represents.

For years, Austin balanced the responsibilities of providing for his family, building a successful career, and competing in fishing tournaments.

But the dream eventually became bigger than catching fish or winning tournaments.

It became about creating opportunities to travel, explore new places, and build unforgettable memories together.

We want our children to grow up knowing that dreams are worth pursuing, hard work matters, and the greatest adventures in life are often the ones you take together.

We’re not just building a business. We’re building a legacy for our family.

THE LEAP OF FAITH

LEAVING COMFORT BEHIND TO CHASE SOMETHING GREATER.

For more than a decade, Austin built a successful career in the utility and construction industry, working his way from the field into leadership as an Operations Supervisor.

It was a career that provided stability, security, and a future for his family.

But sometimes pursuing your dreams means stepping away from everything you’ve worked to build.

In January 2027, our family is preparing to leave Texas and begin an entirely new chapter in South Florida.

We’re trading the security of a traditional career for the uncertainty of entrepreneurship, determined to turn Vice City Outdoors into something extraordinary.

There are no guarantees. No promises of overnight success. Just years of experience, an incredible family, a relentless work ethic, and faith in the journey ahead.

We’re documenting the entire experience, sharing the victories, challenges, and lessons along the way.

Sometimes the greatest risk is never taking one at all.

As Vice City Outdoors grows, our goal is to give back through youth fishing opportunities, veteran outreach, experiences for individuals with disabilities, conservation projects, and community events.

Not everyone has access to a boat, fishing equipment, or someone willing to teach them. We hope to help change that.

Whether it’s helping a child catch their first fish or introducing someone to the outdoors, we want VCO to make a difference.

Success isn’t just measured in trophies, subscribers, or dollars. It’s measured in the lives we touch along the way.

Our roots are in Texas, our next chapter begins in South Florida, and our ambitions reach far beyond either.

Vice City Outdoors isn’t defined by one location, one species, or one style of fishing.

From largemouth bass and peacock bass to trout, tarpon, snook, snakeheads, and countless other species, we’re passionate about exploring everything the fishing world has to offer.

Through our YouTube channel, outdoor adventures, future fishing guide experiences, merchandise, and community partnerships, we’re building a brand that brings people closer to the outdoors.

One day we might be exploring the Florida Everglades. The next adventure could take us to a Colorado mountain stream or even the Amazon.
